I'm not a Sage user and don't use Windows any more than I need to - I'm 
interested in porting Sage to Solaris. But if I recall correctly, when I 
did build Sage on my own Solaris machine, the URL needed was not a 
simple IP address, but had a port too.


Something like

http://localhost:8000

or

http://192.168.159.128:8000


or similar. I doubt a normal user would be able to create a server to 
listen on port 80, which is what would happen if you only typed the URL 
without a colon and number.

But as I say, I have never done this. Just take a note if there is any 
colon and number. If so, you need them too.
