Hi We use standalone installs on Linux desktops and laptops. Is resistant to mobility (students can take it with them after class), and loss of connectivity or low connectivity or power oputages, and there is no central point of failure as a Sage server has.
However, sharing of worksheets not as easy as a single server, I suppose. Everyone manages to get around that just fine by mailing worksheets around. However it would be cool to be able to upload to the lecturer account: Worksheet > Upload worksheet to > beezer@192.168.42.42:8080/assignment4b/where there is somehow a folder to upload to, and the lecturer has allowed it, and left Sage running on that IP, upload time is recorded, (bonus points for username collected).
