I think the iso file has everything necessary for the resulting CD to
be bootable.  Every live CD I've ever burned (including this one) has
been successful simply with a "Burn ISO image..." menu item in k3b.

If I remember right, opening the console and running

sage -notebook

will fire up Firefox (which is included) and start the notebook.  You
may need to be root (password is "root"?), and you may need to have
your working directory be the sage root directory.  Anyway, it is
possible, but its been a few weeks since I did it, so I'm a little
fuzzy on the details.

I think I may have already suggested a menu item for the desktop
manager that would do this.
