No worries - I'm sure I watch more on this front and less on other potential flash points than I should, and of course many on this list won't care either way. As you say, it was not at all the main point! The risk for machismo etc. is definitely a real problem - to my eyes, more than simply not having a 50-50 ratio for sage-devel posts.
