It won't be wasted and I am sure you catch some issues this way you
won't see during the review of the patch. Ideally we would have
multiple people look at each patch since some of them are rather huge.
Due to the size of the problem and the time frame I am happy when we
overall improve the documentation, but I am sure that over the next
couple months we will keep on cleaning up issues.

Yep, I didn't even read that and just from reading the new docstrings
it should be fairly obvious what the new format is.
