Ok, I have blocked three IPs, i.e. three specific workstations, ws12.nitk.ac.in ws165.nitk.ac.in ws181.nitk.ac.in
after talking to William about it. If anybody ever makes contact with somebody let me know. The ban will not survive the next reboot, but if anybody else shows up I will ban them, too :) I also thought about the possibility that this might be somebody attempting to use some download manager that opens multiple connects to be faster, but either way it causes trouble on our host, so they are banned. Everything (trac, wiki, www) should be back to being quick & spiffy, so let me know if there is any more trouble.
