On the one one hand, we really aren't in direct competition with Mathematica and others (we give no guarantees, and operators are *not* standing by; if you got a bug, fix it and send us a patch :-}). On the other hand, we do strive to offer an alternative that should be appealing (open source, low cost of ownership, ...), but we don't want to go head-to-head for a variety of reasons.
