This is really confusing. How do you define basic functionality tests vs regression tests and why error message will go not into API test and be qualified as regression test. IMO, initial statement "We should not encourage people to add Java tests for non-Java-related stuff" is straightforward, while differentiation between "basic" and "regression" is fuzzy. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
