Yep, it's pretty weird. It is pretty much a stock Compaq Presario 7360,
which is a K6/500 or so. It has 64 MB of RAM, 8 MB of which is shared
with the onboard "Trident Blade 3D" video. A single IDE disk on hda and
cdrom on hdc. The IDE disk has DMA enabled in the BIOS, though I tried
it with DMA disabled and it had no affect (except slower booting). Also,
on board "ESS Allegro" sound.
The only thing I have added is a Linksys LNE100TX ethernet card, but I
am pretty sure that was after installing Linux and having this problem.
Fortunately, it is my backup computer. My main computer (these are used
in my business) works great - and is much faster, though I am still
running RH 6.1 on it.
