Hi,
After installing Powerquest's Bootmagic on my win98 partition, LILO was killed.
When I use my trusty redhad boot disk and try a:
vmlinuz root=/dev/hda11
I get the error at the end of this message. I get the same when I try the boot
disk and instructions that the Powerquest site has, and when I use Tom's image/boot
disk recommended in the LILO how-to...
I have a normal Redhat 6.2 install, except that I have installed win4lin 1 eval,
so I guess my kernel isn't called the same thing...this started out as a curiosity
that I thought would be easy to fix, and has ended up putting me in quite a
panic. I'm not the most experience Linux nut around, but I thought that mounting
my linux partitions and resetting LILO would be simple...
HELP!
The ironic thing is that in the Bootmagic docs it cautions nstalling LILO, for
fear of killing Bootmagic!!! I installed Partition Magic 6.0, had no need for
Bootmagic, merely loaded to check it out...had I but known...
Here is the error:
EXT2-fs: 03:0b: counldn't mount because of unsupported optional features. mount:
wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda11, or too many mounted
file systems
