Just can't connect (was: sendmail hangs...)

So far, everything I know to check, and everything I've been told to check,
have been correct.  I don't know what else to do...

I can ping myself @ 127.0.0.1 AND my IP, but that's it.  I can't ping my
router, or anything else.  I've swapped ports on the hub, bypassed the hub
and connected directly to the router, and even swpped nics.

I tell ya, I'm completely at a loss...

Anyone have any more ideas I can try???
