Yep, I've tried booting with both a Dos and an ext2 disk, no diff.

I'm going to have to put the second parallel port back in so that I can
use at least one Zip drive.

And to think that everyone says that all you need to do is hook it up and
it will work just fine.  Can't prove it by me :-)
