Don't forget that if you do not have splices in an outdoor J box, and if your wire is wet location rated, you are not required to use Nema 3R boxes and fittings.

Interesting question. May I ask why you want to use a Myers hub rather than a standard wet-loc outdoor connector?

My understanding is that Myers hubs are used for weatherproofing and bonding (when used with a metal box) because the inside nut is serrated. See NEC 250.92(B)(2) and 314.15(A).
