The park tool has cable and cable housing ferrule crimpers on the inside of the cutting jaws. You can use the housing ferrule crimper to round out the cable housing after cutting it. It works quite well his way. Just squeeze hard enough until the housing is rounded. Additional finishing, if needed, can be done by inserting an awl into the cut end of the cable housing. I used to finish the cables sheldon style (grinder/awl) but it was too much work and frankly, it's not needed. I've done a boat load of cables with just the park tool and it's clean every time. This tool is a must if you're going to cut your own cables and housing. Worth every penny new.
