OK. Here is a difference I found between the bikes: > Sam and Bleriot have same saddle heights (saddle top-bb center), *but*: > Sam cranks - *170mm*, MKS touring pedals with walking shoe (no back pain) > Bleriot cranks - *172.5mm*, MKS touring pedals with same walking shoe > (ouch) > Giant cranks - 172.5mm, but have used clipless much, much more than Touring pedals on it. No pain. Clipless shoe also changes distance to pedal since the sole/cleat is diferent thickness than walking shoe. So:
> This makes the saddle top to pedals 2.5mm further on the Bleriot than the > Sam. > *Would this 2.5mm difference be enough to cause a low back pain problem?* > I rode this way fine for a coupla months when I first got the Bleriot with > no probs. It was after those first months that the back pain started.
