This is real pain that has kept me off that bike most of last winter and 
still happens whenever I hop on the thing.
The pain is what has driven me to all the measurements and thinking trying 
to sort it all out.
 
I am not saying it couldn't be a mental thing. Could be a stress reaction 
to the accident like some have suggested.
But it is definitely not a persnickety thing.
There is no such thing as a perfectly comfortable bike. And my other bikes 
that don't hurt me this way give me other challenges, but all within the 
"normal" realm of cycling discomfort that is inherent to riding a bike.
I don't want this problem. I didn't look for it.
It just happened.
