Didn't like the look of them, but not sure they are really worse than most trekking bars. Actually, they remind me of my old mountain bikes where I'd install a set of Moots "road handles" near the stem. Similar concept except Moods used a big wooden ball on the end. Eric Platt St. Paul, MN
