Actually used one in about 1984 or 1985.  Had to custom modify a rear
derailer to work.  Seems I took a SunTour AR or similar body and
attached a GT long cage to it.  Something like that.

Still seems to me, David, you had no problem staying ahead of my
riding last year.  In fact, you were sprinting pretty hard in some
spots.  Like along the river.  Had to do everything to keep up.
