I just installed a Gamoh cargo rack on my '85 Stumpy, and while it's heavyish (5 lbs), the bike has taken on a new persona... I really like it. The HT angle on the 85 Stumpy was changed to 70 degrees, and yet there is still some flop to deal with... Still, I'd just say be conscious of it, riding no hands will take some extra balls and skill, and hold onto the bars when you're stopped. I personally love the old Stumpies, and I prefer to think they ride like "hogs" rather than "pigs"...
Here's my favorite hog that I built for my bro: http://tinyurl.com/26mk55t It rides amazingly well around town (which is what it was rebuilt for)... But I wouldn't take this on rocky-rooty trails. I'll snap a photo of the Gamoh rack a bit later... I still have to tweak the crown-mount bracket to clear my cantis. Peace BB On Oct 25, 7:01 am, Marty <mgie...@mac.com> wrote: > Your cautions noted.
