I guess I'm out of the advertising loop, because I have no particular impression about Rapha's advertising being exclusivist. Is there a concise example that can prejudice me?
Anyway, that video from above is extraordinary, in my opinion. I'll forgive the seemingly gratuitous stream crossing, and the seemingly posed slumping cyclists at the very end. The majority of the imagery is incredible. Especially the California shots. Golly, am I lucky to live here. And to speak of something nice about the company...I am a bit of a piano player, and really liked the music of that film. So I dialed the generic Rapha phone number. A person answered on the second ring and introduced himself as Tim. I told him I wanted to learn that piece of music. He said "That's so cool! Give me your email address and I'll find out the title and send it to you!" I'm probably not in gonna rush out for a $400 sweater, but next time I need a $75 base layer, I might tilt their way.
