My calculations show that that an 80mm Dirt Drop stem, which according
to Rivendell has a 65mm horizontal extension, is the equivalent of a
Nitto Technomic stem with a length of 8.1cm.  Therefore, if you use a
6cm Technomic stem, you can get the bars 2cm closer to you.

The reason that is the case is because a Nitto Technomic stem has to
be raised more in order to achieve the same height as a Dirt Drop
stem, and the more you raise the Technomic stem, the more it will come
back towards you.
