but what makes the "pari-moto" an "event" tire compared to other
supple, performance tires?  is the rubber compound made partly of
crushed paint chips from old singers and herses?  is the casing woven
with hair samples from the world's great randonneurs?

and does "event" mean "fragile?"  because it makes zero sense to have
a 38mm tire that you can't ride off road and beat up a little.

none of this is directed at you, Joel.  just general musings on this
whole "event" marketing thing.  and i totally understand wanting to
keep your good sneaks clean and all.
