Bicycling the Pacific Coast, by Vicki Spring & Tom Kirkendall (Mountaineers Books, Seattle) is the best resource around. ACA's stuff is good. It's tough to read a map while you ride. Just figure you're going to stop to consult as needed. Once you hit the coast, it's pretty well signed with green signs all the way to San Diego. I'll send you a route slip from the Fisherman's Wharf Hostel that gets you out of the city.
Most mobile services will work down to Big Sur but then it gets spotty until SLO. Have no personal knowledge of the devices or services you reference. dougP On Apr 14, 11:07 am, Christine Masterson <crmaster...@gmail.com> wrote: > Just received Adventure Cycling maps for riding the Ca.
