Re. Tektro 720s: I have them on my Sam, and I think they are great. Easy to set up, good modulation, good stopping power; they are awesome at the price. If all you did was technical singletrack downhill, you might want something with more mechanical advantage for less hand strain after hours of braking, but for an all-rounder, they are perfect. Functionally as good as my Campy high profiles, easier to set up, but not as jewel-like, though perfectly fine looking, except for the prominent and ugly-ish Tektro logo. :)
I have the VO seatpost on my 20 year old beater that needed more setback with a Brooks, and it's a beautiful post that works great. Would like to get a Nitto at some point, but I think this one has more setback than any of the Nittos except the lugged "Wayback".
