happy NBD to me :) just unpacked my first Rivendell, an orange Sam i mentioned on the list a couple weeks ago.
slapped it together and took it for a ride around the block to adjust things like seat, stem, etc. it's a 56cm.. and i don't really have more than 1cm of standover (in street shoes) but the cockpit is about as small as i can take (i'm 5'11 with a PBH of about 84.5 - all torso). here are some low-rez pics i took with my iphone http://paradigmpusher.com/Cycling/Sam_Hillborne.html so far it feels great - lighter and much snappier than i expected, rather similar to the XO-1 that i sold to Mitch a couple weeks ago, to fund this, but bigger/sturdier/smoother on the 700C Schwalbes. the only issue at the moment is the saddle just isn't quite far enough back.. i could use another cm or two, but the Flyer Special is back as far as it goes.. look like i'll be ordering a new seatpost shortly. the bars are also adjusted all the way up to the max height line, but they feel pretty good there. thanks to Grant and Jay for all the advice on sizing, parts, etc.. my dream bike made it into reality :) now i just gotta get some racks and setback seatpost, i think. cheers, andrew -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
