The only bike that I bought as a complete from RBW had a wide-low on it. It had a stick shift - which means that you pick up a stick off the side of the road and manually shift the chain with the stick - in other words, no front derailleur. Not much help. I would use a double that could handle the (14T?) difference. I'll bet that an old Nuovo Record or similar from the 70's would do just fine, I know that they can handle at least 16T. The Sun XCD front derailleur (revived Suntour) is meant for wide doubles.
