I use the Nitto Campee model that has the detachable low rider mounts. 
 They mount to the canti studs, but with a longer strut can be mounted to 
eyelets.  They are pricey but give you a solid platform for that basket and 
don't compete with fender mounts for real estate. Easy to live with.  I had 
a Tubus low rider rack, I've forgotten the name but it was an S shape, on 
the tandem but found them awkward to put on & off; they required 
disconnecting the fender bolts at the dropouts, and interfered with 
mounting the tandem on the car rack.  I think I got mine from Ben's.
