Very nice looking bars (nice looking bike all around). I recommend the Japanese cloth tape Riv sells. The colors are more vivid than the Tressostar and the cloth definitely more comfortable. Jitensha sells an even more upscale model (same name but comes in a box) tape for a few bucks more if you want to go all out. An aside: Appears you have the same issue as I with photographing drops. 44 is not that big. But in one of the full pics, the angle makes the bars look almost as big as the rest of the bike. I've tried a number of camera angles, but never can get it so the proportions in the photo match what I am seeing in front of me.
