I tried non-TG Paselas in 28 and didn't like them. They were relatively comfortable, but slow, and I found the tread to be too squirmy in corners.
The nice thing about the 27-ish tires I listed is that they are relatively lightweight (from 260-290g), have a nice round profile, and are basically slicks -- though the Challenge has a fine herringbone tread. One other tire in that size range that's nice is the Michelin Krylion in 25mm, which also measures wider than stated, at about 27, like the Pro Race.
