Rene, I use B-17s on my Rivedell's with drop bars and found that with Albatross bars the Flyer is a nice saddle to have.
I have used the Flyer when touring with drop bars but really noticed the difference in a more upright position with Albatross bars and/or off road. When using saddle bars with the Flyer, I loop the straps through the bottom coil of the springs.
