I understand what you mean, but in order to ensure logical consistency: Unless you live on the ridgeline, way out in the sticks (La Honda maybe, or Sunol), or you have access to some invisible road system that the rest of us Bay Area riders don't have, traffic and parking are daily issues for *everyone* using those roads - cyclists included. You may worry about them less than you would if you were using a car, but the issue itself doesn't go away just because your car does. There's still hundreds of thousands of cars out there.
This just pushed my button, because there's been a localized hurricane of reckless careless idiot driving in Berkeley/North Oakland over the last four days (maybe from the hot weather?), and dodging fools has really been stressing me out. And I'm not even ferrying kids.
