I commute 20 miles per day just outside of Tel Aviv. It's a densely populated urban area. Route is a combination of city streets, interurban bike lanes, a very nice mixed use paved trail through the Yarkon Park and some sidewalks where there is no other safe option.
We use my wife's car for longer trips and kid hauling.
