To me the Dirt Drop is to bring you up and back. The DD I purchased was specifically for the mustache bar so I went 8. I would much rather err being a little more upright, than a little too stretched out. If you were trying to fit a bike slightly too small for you or with a short head tube then the 100 might be the thing. Your goals with the swap should point towards one or the other.
