I am sure any frame builder who builds a bike like this is at least
familiar with Rivendell. I would take it as a compliment. Just ten
years ago there were very few steel bikes out there and almost none
with lugs. I think Grant does not get the credit he is due for
sticking with steel. Now there are tons of bikes out there that draw
some inspiration from him. I had a similar thought about the variety
of steel bikes at Interbike this year. Most major brands have at
least one steel bike in their line now, but did not a few years ago,
in my opinion Riv had something to do with this.
