Yeah, it seems like whether or not canti's squeal seems less to do
with the particular brand/model of brake than the peculiarities of the
set-up- all the stuff jim said, as well as the flexiness of the fork,
how worn your cables are, distance from housing stop to straddle wire,
phase of the moon, etc, etc.  Putting a brake booster* on my SUPER
flexly after-market fork went a long ways towards minimizing squeal on
one of my bikes.  So i'd play around with them a while before
springing for a new set.  Also know that as canti brake pads wear, the
angle at which they contact the rim constantly changes, so while you
may have had them perfectly dialed in a one point they may no longer
be- this is just a function of canti geometry and is the price we pay
for fat tires and arguably stronger brakes.  Read Jobst on the subject
