I have a set of the shiman br550's on my bike right now and I'm not terribly pleased with them. They've been fairly persnickety to setup and there's lots of annoying brake squeal from the front one. I'm curious if maybe I should consider getting a set of the paul touring cantis, the tektros or the ird's? Any comments one way or the other? I'm a little curious how easy any of these are to setup and get 'right' since my experience with the shimano's is not great.
I also have an old set of mafac tandem cantis that I took off an old gitane frame. I guess I could pop those on. Any thoughts?
