> > *UPDATE: * > Being a reader of Jim Langley and his cool page on silencing mystery bike noises, I remembered that noises can sound anywhere on the bike, but come from a totally different area.
So I tried poking around and found: Creaky stem in the steerer tube?...nope...very stable no matter how hard I was able... Loose headset?...no...not unlocking upon rocking... Loose bottle cages?...no...the Iris are finest ... Rear derailer shifter cable-stop rubbing in the little braze on that's on the down tube?...Yes!! Creaky when rotating bars. Silenced upon holding housing away from bike while turning bars. So a little beeswax or grease in the braze on should fix it I would think. Vindication of the FSA headset complete. Guess I should investigate before catastrophizing! Sorry for all the headset hullabaloo. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
