I like this new aesthetic of big, bold tires on bikes. It's not just a
black sidewall thing, but it helps when the tires is a single color
(see also the cream Fat Franks). Oddly enough, many road bikes
superficially have this look even with thin tires, because of the tall
aero rims also in fashion. Lots of wheels have that big, substantial
look to them. They look like solid, capable bikes, ready for the
charge. I like it.
