The Mafac Racers have been quickly snapped up by collectors and
Francophiles who put them on their own bikes or tossed up on ebay.
Worse, when a trashed bike comes to us, if it had Mafacs they've
already been removed by whomever brought us the bike because these
people KNOW what they have and know there is demand for them. They're
mostly long gone in these parts.

Meanwhile, your observations about cable/housing quality are astute,
and I am leaning more and more towards going with the DC 750's. others
on this list have indicated that the extra metal beneath the brake pad
position isn't anything to worry about, as the calipers are drop
forged and pretty sturdy.
