If the 32s are tight under plastic fenders you might have trouble with the alluminum, as you need to allow room for their rolled and crimped edges. YMMV.
I've used SKS, Cascadias, VO's and Berthouds. I like the Berthouds best of all, even though getting them adjusted over 28's on my Rambouillet was majorly fiddly. But once dialed in I haven't had to touch them since. BTW, I could fender 32's with plastic fenders, but missed by a mile with the alloys and ss ones (28 max). The Berthouds are the least rattly of the others, which is why I like them best, and they look nicer too. To my eyes anyway.
