Hi Beth, sounds like your Rivvy will be lovely! I can speak to the fender
question:  not an all day, but definitely a half day job.  If you like
working on bikes, it's not frustrating, just time consuming.  Drilling isn't
that big a deal, just use a punch to make a starting point.  Big trick is to
make sure nothing is tensioned.  Everything should fit nicely without having
to torque a stay over to the right/left.
