Thanks for the helpful review Thomas. I've been thinking about getting a Sackville Large for exactly the same purpose. It sounds great except for the difficult off-bike carrying (which I do a lot of, plus I'm probably half your size - 132lbs).
Question for you: do you find that a lot of clearance between the saddle loops and the rack is required? I only have 9.5" of clearance, and some bags require more (the Riv site explicitly requires 10" for the NS Big Box bag, I think, and the Sackville Large is even larger).
