I used to use the 559X60s on Mavic 23 mm mtb rims; no problem except getting
the beads to stay put. I've also run 1.95s on 19 mm (outside width) rims;
again, no problems. Note that these 19 mm rims -- both Sun M14As and Trek
"mountain aeros" were *mountain bike rims* back when skinny rims, purple
anodizing and light weight were the things in the early '90s.

The only disadvantage is that fat tires on skinnier rims are more handling
sensitive to pressure.

I just installed 622 X 60s BAs on 25 mm rims, which rims came stock with 60
mm Exiwolfs.
