Not sure you need advice. The XR is a great choice for what sounds like one heavy duty bike in the making. If you find yourself riding more on pavement than mixed conditions, Marathon Supreme 40s will roll a bit easier. Supremes will slide more than XRs on grass and loose stuff though.
Looking forward to some pictures. BTW, great foresight scoring and holding the Zephyr. Perfect crank for the Bombadil.
