Hi, there are 2 things I do with spamassassin and clam: 1. ensure my system is updating the spamassassin rules with sa-update (running in cron every day at 6am or something) BTW. in Ubuntu (Debian prolly too) you can just edit /etc/default/spamassassin file (switch CRON to 1) 2. use the clam definitions for pdf and image spam from sanesecurity. I'm just running the UpdateSaneSecurity.sh script from: http://www.sanesecurity.com/clamav/usage.htm
those 2 are better than using special perlscanner rules, since perl is slow. BTW in Spamassassin you can actually compile rules to make it run faster by using the v3.2 plugin called: Rule2XSBody Best regards, Maciej Avi Kouzi pisze: > Hello everybody, > > First of all, I would like to say a special thanks to Jason Haar for the > fast replying in my previous post from June 2nd, and my apologies for > not replying earlier. > > > I would like to make a suggestion, perhaps someone (if there is a > requirement from the wide audiance) can create a database of spam rules > for qmail-scanner - Meaning - If people would share their rules with one > another, it would help us all in creating s safer and cleaner email system. > I know I could use this kind of thing, I am currently spending a lot of > time in creating my own rules while many others had created them before me. > > I am looking forward to hear your responses. > > Best regards, > Avi. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. > It's the best place to buy or sell services for > just about anything Open Source. > http://sourceforge.net/services/buy/index.php > _______________________________________________ > Qmail-scanner-general mailing list > Qmail-scanner-general@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/qmail-scanner-general > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
