Hello,

I am completely stumped. I have tried for several hours to resolve this on
my own to no availability.

Here is my scenario:

RH 7.3, Running qmail-1.03+patches-19, qmail-scanner-1.25.

/etc/tcpcontrol/smtp.rules:

127.0.0.1:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",RBLSMTPD,QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-sca
nner-queue.pl"
:allow,
RELAYCLIENT="",RBLSMTPD,QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl"

#The above two may be redunadnt. Testing different things.

Ran: tcprules smtp.cdb smtp.tmp < smtp.rules

Ran: svc-stop /service/smtpd;svc-start /service/smtpd

qmail-scanner does not appear to be invoked when new mail arrives from the
Internet. However, mail seems to come through uneffected.

When I run the local contrib/test_installation.sh script I get proper
results except (and this maybe a hint) a warning that the qmailqueue var was
not set:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
QMAILQUEUE was not set, defaulting to /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl
for this test...
QMAILQUEUE was not set, defaulting to /usr/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl for
this test...

Sending standard test message - no viruses...
done!

Sending eicar test virus - should be caught by perlscanner module...
done!

Sending eicar test virus with altered filename - should only be caught by
commercial anti-virus modules (if you have any)...

Sending bad spam message for anti-spam testing - In case you are using
SpamAssassin...
Done!

Finished test. Now go and check Email for [EMAIL PROTECTED]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------

Is there anything special that needs to be done to activate the qmail-queue
patch? I installed from BG RPM that has the patch with it.

I should also add that my logs @ /var/spool/qmailscan stay untouched
(Nothing is written to the log).

Also there are no "X-Scanner" headers in the qmail logs.

Any help would be appreciated. Im about to be bald from pulling my hair
out....

Thanks,

S.Kundra
