I'm trying to install on Fedora Core, not RH9. It comes with perl 5.8.1. I grabbed a 5.8.1 perl-suidperl rpm, and installed that. No cpan, (and no perl from source ). I just added the modules required for qmail-scanner. I'm not sure my problem has anything to do with suidperl. As I mentioned a few posts back, when I send an smtp exchange with bad headers, q-s.pl correctly identifies it, sends the "Problem found " messages to admin and to the sender, logs the event, and completes cleanly. It's only when the script reaches the perlscan_scanner function, and it must open quarantine-attachements.db that it fails. > > Oh - sorry 2 people.
