maybe it replaced the qmail-queue binary with one calling-rwsr-xr-x 1 qmailq qmail 4464 Sep 9 03:26 /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue
qmail-scanner.pl?
try this:
# ls -la /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue -rws--x--x 1 qmailq qmail 4892 Apr 3 09:54
# # this was my qmail-queue wrapper
# ls -la /opt/qmail/bin/qmail-queue.old -rws--x--x 1 qmailq qmail 16640 Apr 3 09:54
/opt/qmail/bin/qmail-queue.old
# # this is the original qmail-queue binary (it's bigger than the custom one)
you are correct Flavio the RPM must have replaced qmail-queue with a wrapper... thats bad right? i mean its not the "official" way of having a patched qmail-smtp binary right? I had installed 1.20rc3 manually but as soon as i sent it a message cpu maxxed or something.. the machine became so slow i had to put in a reboot ticket with rackshack.. ohh man that was a long night... hehe.. now i know why i guess... also without a patched qmail-smtp does that explain whu i dont have the smtp.rules file for tcpserver? or why dont i have that? because the goofballs at plesk use xinetd to call it up?
perhaps im just being way too cautious with my approach towards this.. i just dont want to break plesk... my customers need that easy to use interface...
