Windows 7 does seem pretty rock-solid so far. Runs much snappier in my VM than XP or Vista too. Terminal doesn't suck quite as much anymore, either. The User Account Control BS seems to be better than in Vista (the 'you mean you are the OS and you don't know if I opened the file or if a virus did it?' persistent nag windows that users just learn to click through without reading anyway) I don't really use it though - only for testing my app - so I can't really comment beyond that.
