I guess to avoid "choking" by BLAT, I could put a small pause between 
sends.  ???

This is exactly what I was trying to do for this!!!  ;-)

I built the simple email extraction tool for our 1000 centers; I don't 
want to get involved with them setting up 3rd party email solutions.
